This policy explains what information attunednd.com (the "Site") collects, how I use it, and the choices you have. I've written it in plain language on purpose. Privacy shouldn't require a law degree.

A note before anything else. This policy covers the website only. If you become a therapy client, your treatment records are protected by federal and California law, including HIPAA and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act, and are governed by my Notice of Privacy Practices, which you'll receive during intake. Those protections are stronger than anything described here.

Information you give me. If you use the contact form, email, or text, I receive what you send: typically your name, email address, phone number, and your message. Please share only what's needed to start a conversation. Detailed health history can wait for a secure channel. If you contact me but don't become a client, I keep your inquiry only as long as reasonably needed and then delete it.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site's hosting platform (Squarespace) collects standard technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and cookies that keep the Site functioning. I use this only to understand Site performance in aggregate. I do not use advertising pixels or sell advertising.

How I use your information. To respond to your inquiry, schedule consultations, provide services you request, and operate the Site. That's the list.

What I don't do. I do not sell your personal information. I do not share it with advertisers. I do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

Who else touches your data. A small set of service providers help me operate: my website host (Squarespace), email provider, and practice management/scheduling software. They process data on my behalf under their own security obligations. I may also disclose information if required by law, such as a valid court order, or where disclosure is required or permitted under my professional and legal obligations as a licensed therapist.

Text messaging. If you text me or provide your number and ask me to text you, I'll use it only to communicate with you about scheduling and services. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Message and data rates may apply.

Cookies and Do Not Track. The Site uses functional cookies through Squarespace. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work. The Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals.

Children. The Site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information online. Therapy services for minors are arranged through a parent or guardian.

Your choices and rights. You can ask me what information I hold about you from Site interactions, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, subject to legal record-keeping requirements. Email sylvan@attunednd.com and I'll respond within 30 days. California residents may have additional rights under California law.

Security. I take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no internet transmission is completely secure. For sensitive matters, established clients should use the secure client portal.

Changes. If this policy changes, the new version and effective date will be posted here.
