Welcome. These Terms of Use govern your use of attunednd.com (the "Site"), operated by Sylvan Streightiff, LMFT, ATR ("I," "me"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
This Site is informational only. Nothing on this Site is therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Browsing this Site, submitting a contact form, emailing me, or texting me does not create a therapist-client relationship. That relationship begins only after we complete a consultation, you sign my informed consent documents, and we mutually agree to begin treatment.
This Site is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or are in danger, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. Do not use this Site's contact form to communicate anything urgent. I do not monitor messages continuously and cannot respond in real time.
Who I can work with. I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #163836) in the State of California. I provide therapy services only to clients located in California. Information on this Site is not an offer to treat residents of other states.
Electronic communications. Email, text messages, and website contact forms are not fully secure or confidential methods of communication. Please do not include detailed personal health information in messages sent through the Site. By contacting me by email or text, you accept the privacy risks of those channels. Secure communication options are available to established clients through the client portal.
Intellectual property. All content on this Site, including text, images, and original artwork displayed in the Personal Works gallery, is owned by me and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without my written permission.
Third-party links and services. The Site links to third-party services, including scheduling and client portal platforms. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which I don't control and am not responsible for.
No warranties; limitation of liability. The Site is provided "as is." I make no warranties about its availability, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under California law.
Changes. I may update these terms at any time. The current version will always be posted here with its effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept them.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [county], California.
